- Buying Solo Operator (or similar products) is a license to use the software, not ownership of the app or our IP — see our Terms of Service.
- We process limited information for purchases, license delivery and device limits, Site visits, contact/feedback forms, and App features that need our or a provider’s servers.
- We do not sell your personal information.

Introduction
BillBee Development Inc (“Billbee,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), Gilbert, Arizona, United States, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (including our cookie practices below) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use:
- Our websites, including billbee.org (the “Site”)
- Our applications and products, including Solo Operator, Meetingly, SelfRealize, Aura, CadenceXL, and other Billbee apps (the “Apps”)
- Related demos, support, and services (together with the Site and Apps, the “Services”)
Different products handle data differently. Some Apps are local-first (data stays on your device). Others may use cloud storage, accounts, or third-party processors. This policy covers our practices generally and calls out important product differences.
By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. For terms of use and software licensing (including that a Solo Operator purchase is a license to use, not ownership of the app or our IP), see our Terms of Service.
Contact for privacy matters: info@billbee.org.
Local-first and on-device data
Like other serious desktop and mobile tools, some Billbee Apps process your work on your device and do not upload that work to Billbee unless a feature you choose requires it.
Solo Operator
- Business data you enter (clients, money, playbooks, and similar) generally remains in a database on your device(s).
- We do not operate a Billbee cloud copy of your company books from that on-device data.
- Purchasing Solo Operator grants a license to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of the application or Billbee intellectual property.
- We may still process limited information related to purchase, license delivery, key unlock / device limits, Site visits, analytics (when enabled), and feedback you send us.
Other Apps
Meetingly, SelfRealize, and similar Apps may store or sync content locally and/or via cloud features you enable, and may use third-party services (for example transcription or AI) to provide features you request. Media may live on your device, in cloud storage you authorize (such as iCloud), or on providers needed for a feature—as disclosed for that App.
Where we obtain personal data
Personal information we process typically comes from you when you:
- Browse the Site
- Contact us or send feedback
- Purchase a license or subscription
- Create an account (where an App uses accounts)
- Use an App in a way that sends data to us or our providers
What we process (and what we do not)
Often processed only on your device (not sent to Billbee)
- Solo Operator business data and local databases, unless you export or share them yourself
- Local media, notes, or project files that an App keeps only on-device
Information Billbee or our processors may handle
- Name, email, company, and message content from contact or feedback forms
- Account or profile details for Apps that use accounts
- Purchase and license information (order or license identifiers, email, device-slot / activation data needed to enforce licenses)
- Support correspondence and files you choose to send for troubleshooting
- Device and usage information (device type, OS, browser, logs, crash or diagnostic data, approximate location from IP where used)
- Content you upload to cloud or AI features that require server-side processing
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services
- Perform contracts with you (including delivering licenses and supporting paid features)
- Process purchases and enforce license terms
- Respond to inquiries, feedback, and support requests
- Send transactional messages (receipts, security or policy notices). Marketing only where allowed, with opt-out where required
- Analyze usage in aggregate to improve the product (and, where we use consent-based analytics in an App, only as permitted)
- Detect abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
- Comply with legal obligations
Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing (for example the EEA/UK), we typically rely on: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Services, answering inquiries, improving products in a privacy-respecting way); consent where we ask for it; and legal obligation where required.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, including as “sale” is commonly understood under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar U.S. state privacy laws. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those laws define it. We may share limited information with:
Service providers (processors)
Trusted providers who help us run the Services. Depending on what you use, this may include:
- Stripe (United States) — payment processing and license checkout for products sold via Stripe Payment Links or similar
- Apple / Google — in-app purchases and subscriptions where Apps are distributed through their stores
- Resend (United States) — transactional and contact-form email delivery
- Hosting / CDN providers (for example Netlify or similar) — Site and static asset hosting, access logs, and related infrastructure
- Plausible Analytics (when enabled on a Site page) — privacy-focused, aggregated website analytics; see Plausible’s privacy policy
- Transcription, AI, cloud storage, or other feature providers required for a specific App feature you use
Legal and safety
When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security of Billbee, our users, or the public.
Business transfers
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply unless you are notified otherwise.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including license records, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and security. On-device data in local-first Apps remains under your control on your devices and backups; deleting the App or backups may permanently remove that data. You can request deletion of data we hold by emailing info@billbee.org.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to our Services. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting your devices, passwords, license keys, and backups.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a copy of data you provided in a portable format, where applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable
If you are a California resident, you may also have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no separate “Do Not Sell or Share” toggle required for our current practices; you may still email us to exercise any applicable rights.
To make a request, email info@billbee.org. We may need to verify your request. We aim to respond within a reasonable period (and within timelines required by law). Some data (for example data that exists only on your device) is controlled by you locally and is not held in Billbee systems.
Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided information should contact info@billbee.org.
International users
We are based in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where we or our providers operate.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on the Site to operate the Site, remember preferences where needed, and understand aggregated traffic.
Types we may use
- Essential / functional — needed for basic Site operation (for example security or load balancing set by our host)
- Analytics — when Plausible is enabled, we use privacy-focused analytics that emphasizes aggregated, non-identifying metrics rather than advertising profiles. Plausible’s approach is designed to minimize personal data; see their documentation for details.
We do not use advertising trackers as a core part of billbee.org. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some Site features. Limiting analytics may reduce our ability to understand Site usage but will not stop you from browsing public pages.
Your browser controls
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and other browsers let you block or delete cookies under privacy settings. See your browser’s help for steps.
Links to other sites
The Services may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies when you leave our Site.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on the Site (and within Apps where appropriate) and update the “Last Updated” date. For material changes we may provide additional notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where additional consent is required by law.
